Neighbour Day is Australia’s annual celebration of community, encouraging people to connect with those who live in their neighbourhood.
Whether through a cuppa, a picnic in the park, or a message of support, Neighbour Day is the perfect opportunity to say thanks for being a great neighbour and for being there when needed you most.
Neighbour Day is celebrated on the last Sunday in March every year with the aim of fostering strong personal connections that last the whole year round. Every day can be neighbour day.
The theme for Neighbour Day 2017 is The Importance of Social Connection for the Elderly.
Visit the Neighbour Day website for ideas on celebrating Neighbour Day, or phone Nate at the City of Unley on 8372 5111.

The City of Unley in association with Nature Play SA bring you the 2017 Festival of Mud.
Building on the success of our event last year, the 2017 Festival of Mud is a celebration of children getting active, playing in nature, discovering natural loose parts play, and enjoying the freedom and sensory delight of getting muddy!
We invite you to join us for an epic day of outdoor play featuring a MAJOR mud play and stick cubby building set-up, natural loose parts galore, clay-based nature arts, story-time with Unley libraries, geocaching and much more.
Deck the kids out in clothes they can get dirty in (if they wish!) and prepare for a day they’ll talk about for weeks to come.
You are welcome to BYO picnic or make a purchase from one of the delicious and wholesome food and coffee trucks on site.
Whilst the event is free, this year’s Festival of Mud will be a ticketed to help us plan numbers. A gold coin donation is requested upon entry. 100% of money raised will support the non-profit organisation Playground Ideas.
Please complete the online booking form to secure your space.
Playground Ideas is an international not-for-profit community development organisation that offers free support for communities world-wide, including those in lower income countries, to design and build playgrounds using local skills, tools, and materials. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated.
We look forward to playing outdoors with you soon!
