The Council will continue to place great emphasis on customer services and a performance oriented culture of doing business.
Sound financial management will continue to be important in an environment of rate restrictions and limited revenue operations.
Opportunities will be explored for cooperation and relationships with Federal, State and other Local Governments.
Community involvement in Council's affairs should be encouraged whilst opportunities and education for those wishing to participate must be planned.
We will strive to sustain progressive and accountable local government administration that regularly assesses itself to ensure it meets the needs of its citizens.

Strategies:
GOE 1
Provide a corporate framework for open communication and consultation with the local community, which informs, educates and encourages community participation and ensures that Council's decisions fully consider the views of the community.
GOE 2
Generate an approach to all council operations that maintains the principles of good governance such as public accountability, transparency, integrity, leadership, cooperation with other levels of government and social equity.
GOE 3
Continue to develop Council's financial management strategies and administration to ensure that optimal effectiveness and efficiency can be obtained to improve service delivery and increase productivity.

Build and maintain a high level of staff morale and performance, safe practices and a customer centred culture.
GOE 5
Provide leadership through an accountable and strategically focused organisation committed to effective planning processes.
GOE 6
Provide information technology and systems that enable the organisation to meet its objectives and function at optimum capacity.
