Fern Avenue Community Garden
At the Fern Avenue Community Garden local residents grow fruit and vegetables and meet in a straw-bale building to learn about organic gardening.

The Fern Avenue Community Garden is owned by the City of Unley who have a peppercorn lease arrangement with Alternative 3, a community group who manage the day to day running of the site.
The Garden has a building made from straw bales where gardeners attend organic gardening courses which are held regularly.
The eight week Organic Gardening Courses are held in three hour sessions. The course covers a broad range of topics such as pest control, plant propagation, soil preparation, composting and companion planting.
For information about the Organic Gardening Courses contact Janet Fensom from Alternative 3 by phoning 8379 8941.
