Concert for Peace, Love & Understanding
Today, 3.2 billion people—a quarter of the world’s population—live in conflict zones. Ukraine, Yemen, Myanmar, Afghanistan, the list goes on. Here in Australia, refugees from conflict zones struggle to make ends meet, while our First Nations Australians still don’t have constitutional recognition in their own country.
The Effective Living Centre and Trinity Sessions are excited to bring you 'A Concert for Peace, Love and Understanding,' featuring a fantastic line-up of local artists bringing their personal responses to these issues, in an afternoon of music, poetry and dance.
Artists performing include Vonda Last, Yiani and Elena, Fergus Maximus, Claire and the Vagaband, Ash and Joseph, Jill Wherry, the Hebridean Dancers, the Hot Goslings and Women with Latitude.
Proceeds raised from this special concert will go to Circle of Friends, an organisation supporting asylum seekers and refugees, and Unley's Statement from the Heart Support Group, which promotes voice, treaty and truth in reconciliation.
