Registration notices

Have you received your pet registration renewal notice? You will receive this by your preferred method of delivery, either email, SMS or post.

If you have not received your renewal notice by 15 July, please call Council on 8372 5111 or log into Dogs and Cats Online to download a copy of your current renewal notice.

For dog owners

In South Australia, all dogs must be registered on Dogs and Cats Online, the state-wide database for all dog microchips, de-sexing and breeder registration. 

While logged in to pay your dog’s renewal fee, please check that your contact details are up-to-date.

Would you like to save 20% off your dog’s registration? The City of Unley offers 20% off registrations for dogs who have been trained to Level 2 Standard by a qualified obedience trainer. Upload your certificate of training at Dogs and Cats Online for the discount to apply.

For cat owners

In South Australia, all cats must be registered on Dogs and Cats Online, the state-wide database for all cat microchips, de-sexing and breeder registration. 

There is no fee to renew your cat’s registration. Please check that your contact details are up-to-date on Dogs and Cats Online.

How to register your dog or cat

Login to Dogs and Cats Online and follow the steps below for easy registration:

  1. Select Register
  2. Select Renew Registration
  3. Enter your renewal code and surname
  4. Check your personal details are correct
  5. Check your dog (and/or cat) details are correct
  6. Add any new dogs (and/or cats)
  7. Complete payment section.

Registration renewals are due by Tuesday 31 August.
