Join us for a series of free webinars promoting mindfulness, resilience and wellbeing, from October 12 to 16.

Mental Health Week is an opportunity to have conversations with your friends, family, and community about mental health and wellbeing. After all, mental health is something every person has, and every person can face challenges with — not just those living with mental illness.

Half of Australians are likely to be diagnosed with a mental illness in their lifetime, leaving the other 50% of us who will know someone living with a mental health issue.

In 2020, South Australia’s Mental Health Week will run from October 10 - 17. This year’s Mental Health Week theme is 'Every person, every community', and we’re hosting a series of webinars to help raise awareness, address stigma, and promote mental health in our community.

Topics include:

  • Mindfulness with Yoga
  • How to support the resilience and wellbeing of our teenagers/children (for parents)
  • Strategies for children/teenagers to build their resilience and wellbeing
  • Gentle exercise and relaxation for good mental health
  • Mental health impacts of COVID-19 and coping with the related stress and anxiety.

Webinars will also be screened at the Unley and Clarence Park Community Centres, from October 12-16, for those who may not have internet access. For screening dates and times at both Centres, view the Community Centres Mental Health Week brochure(PDF, 981KB) .
