Students from Years 5, 6 and 7 from all schools in the City of Unley Council area are invited to enter our Sesquicentenary logo design competition.

The calendar year 2021 will mark the 150th Anniversary (Sesquicentenary) of the formation of the Corporate Town of Unley, which occurred when 2,000 signatories to a petition from residents of the towns of Unley, Parkside, Black Forest, Goodwood and Fullarton requested the Governor to allow them to form their own municipality and thus sever from the District Council of Mitcham.

Unley will be having a series of celebrations to mark this event in 2021, and we are inviting Year 5, 6 and 7 students from schools within the City of Unley to help us by designing a Sesquicentenary logo.

The selected logo will appear in all Council communications and promotions throughout the year.

The student with the winning design will receive a local business voucher pack valued at $500, while the student’s school will receive vouchers for educational materials or art supplies valued at $500.

Eligible students are invited to complete and submit an entry form(PDF, 34KB) by Monday 9 November.
