Council actions during COVID-19 conditions - current March 17

We are actively monitoring and following advice from the Australian Federal and South Australian governments on the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and regularly reviewing business continuity and service delivery requirements.  The situation is constantly evolving, which means we will continue to assess our decisions over time.
At this stage our focus is on minimising the spread, and we are adopting recommendations and practices relating to increased hygiene/cleaning practices, social distancing, cancellation of events involving 500 or more people (or other events we consider posing unnecessary risk to our community).  We have also made the decision to defer some programs/activities in our libraries and community centres to ensure we are not inadvertently compromising the health of our community. We will communicate details of changes to planned activities and services as they become available.
The best sources of information on COVID-19 are the SA Health website and the Australian Government Department of Health website.
We would like to remind all members of our community to be mindful of the information and guidance being provided by SA Health and ask that you avoid visiting public Council facilities if you feel unwell.  We will continue to provide updates, guidance and support to our community via our website and our social media channels.
