Turning Innovative Ideas into Business Reality

Join us at the next Unley Business Breakfast Networking Event, 7am Tuesday 4 December, with guest speaker Bronte Eckermann, Business Owner and Inventor, Zing Cricket Wicket System.
At the December Unley Business Breakfast, Bronte Eckermann will share insights in his company’s aims, achievements and challenges. He’ll take us on an inventor’s journey, sharing how his company created innovative technology that has enhanced the entertainment value of today’s cricket matches.
Bronte is an entrepreneurial product developer, business owner and inventor. Bronte graduated in Adelaide as an industrial designer in 1988 and has worked in Europe, Silicon Valley and Sydney.
In 2007 he made a decision to relocate back to Adelaide and set about finding an innovative idea that he could develop and turn into a local business. This eventuated in the invention of the Zing Cricket Wicket System. The technology was fully developed, patented and released into the Big Bash in 2012.
Since then, the Zings have proliferated through all forms of cricket in all the major cricketing nations, and has been enthusiastically received by cricket fans of all ages and demographics.
Zing International now manufacture 90 per cent of the Zing System in Australia, leveraging digital design and manufacturing to maintain quality control and create new jobs for the state.
