The Unley Community Bus is a ‘door to door’ service that picks passengers up from their home and transports them to a range of destinations. The service is provided by volunteers and coordinated by City of Unley staff.

This service is intended for residents living in the City of Unley who are transport disadvantaged, frail, aged, or have a disability. There is no age-based eligibility. Residents must be able to board and disembark the bus independently without assistance. We ask for a $5 donation on the bus for the round trip.

Terms of use

To ensure the program is fair to all eligible residents, transport services are allocated on priority of need and volunteer availability.

Passengers must have the ability to carry their own bags. Due to limited storage on the bus, shopping bags are strictly limited to two per person.

Looking after passengers

The Unley Community Bus promotes an environment where passengers feel welcomed, supported, safe, and happy. The service values respect, tolerance, inclusiveness and equity.

Passengers who demonstrate behaviour or use language that is not supportive of these values may be refused access to the bus.

The Community Bus program also includes Out and About tours every month. These provide an opportunity for passengers of all ages to go on a fun trip together, socialise and explore new areas.
