The City of Unley operates a three bin system to help residents and businesses divert materials for recycling and reduce landfill.
Council waste management is operated by East Waste. Below are the bin issues that can be reported to East Waste.
Before reporting a missed bin collection, check the collection day
All waste bins (blue lid) are collected each week, recycling (yellow lid) and organic (green lid) bins are collected on alternating fortnights.

Bins left out can become hazards for pedestrians, block vision of vehicles reversing out of properties and can encourage illegal dumping of rubbish by others.
If your kerbside collection bin is damaged or is in need of replacement parts (e.g. lid pins, wheels, axles, lids or the bin body), contact East Waste.
If a kerbside collection bin is missing from the front of your property after it has been placed there for collection, it should be reported as missing or lost.
You will need to report it to SAPOL via the Online Lost Property Reporting (OLPR), or provide a Statutory Declaration before a replacement bin is provided.
If your property is being demolished, you are required to surrender your kerbside collection bins to Council.
When the new property becomes occupied replacement bins will be provided, please contact East Waste.
