Notice of Intention to Sell Land for Non-Payment of Council Rates

 

In the Assessment Book the Registered Proprietor of 2 Arundel Avenue, Millswood SA 5034 described as that piece of land comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 5441 Folio 192 (the Land) is Christopher James Ryan, being the owner and principal ratepayer.

The Council is the local council. The Land appears in the Council’s Assessment Records as Assessment Number 157792. Rates for the Land have been in arrears for a period of in excess of three (3) years. As at 29 May 2026, the total amount of rates (plus fines and interest payment pursuant to section 181(8) of the Local Government Act 1999 owed to the Council is $11,634.25. Until full payment of the total amount, fines and interest continue to be raised pursuant to the Local Government Act 1999.

IF THE TOTAL LIABILITY FOR RATES AND OTHER AMOUNTS IS NOT PAID IN FULL WITHIN ONE MONTH OF SERVICE OF THIS NOTICE, THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO SELL THE LAND FOR NON PAYMENT OF RATES UNDER SECTION 184 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1999 BY PUBLIC AUCTION.

If you wish to pay the total liability, you must do so to the Council within 1 month from date of this Notice. No further notice will be given before Council sells the Land.

The Council is the local council. The Land appears in the Council’s Assessment Records as Assessment Number 24984. Rates for the Land have been in arrears for a period of in excess of three (3) years. As at 29 May 2026, the total amount of rates (plus fines and interest payment pursuant to section 181(8) of the Local Government Act 1999 owed to the Council is $14,917.75. Until full payment of the total amount, fines and interest continue to be raised pursuant to the Local Government Act 1999.
