The City of Unley is proud to announce that Unley Oval has been selected as an Outdoor Training Venue for the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027, placing our community at the centre of one of the world’s largest sporting events.
Set to take place across Australia late next year, the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 will welcome the world’s top rugby teams, players, officials and thousands of supporters from across the globe, with a total of six matches scheduled to be played in South Australia during the event.
The selection of Unley Oval as an Outdoor Training Venue strengthens its reputation as a treasured regional open space in the heart of the City of Unley. This highlights Council’s commitment to creating and activating welcoming public spaces for all people to deliver memorable experiences. Unley Oval will play an important role in providing a premier training facility for visiting international teams as they prepare for competition.
