Take the pledge

The City of Unley developed the Take the Pledge program in partnership with KESAB environmental solutions to encourage and foster sustainable behaviour change, focusing on household waste and recycling.

The program now has more than 2100 participating households in the City of Unley, who have committed to recycling more and diverting as much organic material as possible to the green bins.

Register to take the pledge

Take the pledge by completing the online form below. Pledge takers will receive stickers to place on their green or yellow-lidded bin to demonstrate their commitment to reducing landfill.

New competition rounds start on a regular basis.

Over 500 prizes ($25 Mitre 10 Barrow & Bench gift vouchers) have been awarded to date. So come on, it’s time to Take the Pledge, and you too could be a winner.

Take the pledge now

A recent analysis of the program data by Colby Phillips Advisory, has found that pledged households are collectively diverting a whopping 422 tonnes of waste from landfill each year.

The research also shows a 15% reduction in residual waste sent to landfill since the Take the Pledge program was launched in 2016.

These results are incredibly promising. Imagine what we could achieve if more households in the City of Unley join in and Take the Pledge.
