Event Parking for the Royal Adelaide Show
Published on 03 August 2026
The Royal Adelaide Show brings lots of activity to our residential areas. The extra people and traffic movement during this period places greater pressure on car parking spaces and can present a real safety risk to visitors and residents.
To provide a safe environment for show goers and ensure parking is available for residents, visitors and patrons of local businesses, Council has installed event parking controls in nearby streets. For full details, visit our Royal Adelaide Show Parking webpage.
Street Parking
If you choose to drive and park in nearby streets, be sure to check signage before leaving your vehicle. Look out for half hour and 2-hour Royal Show parking signs. They will be effective at all times, between Saturday 5 September and Sunday 13 September 2026 inclusive.
Please also be mindful of resident permit zones, no-parking zones and note how long you can stay in one space.
Parklands Carpark
The carparking areas in the Adelaide Parklands are the primary location for parking for the Show. These parks are managed by the City of Adelaide.
Access is dependent on weather and the condition of the parking surface. Visit the Adelaide Show website at Adelaide Show Website to check for any changes to availability before you leave home.
Public Transport
Consider leaving your car at home – there are so many great public transport options available including bus, tram and train. Plan your trip using the Adelaide Metro Website
Please enjoy the show! For everything show related, including ticket purchases, visit the Royal Adelaide Show website.
