Another Year, Another Tank!

Since its launch in 2016, the City of Unley’s Fish Tank program has become a standout initiative for empowering and supporting young people in our community.

Designed for youth aged 8–25yrs, the program provides a platform for emerging entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas, or existing ventures, to a panel of judges. Successful participants gain valuable recognition, personalised mentoring, and seed money to help bring their ideas to life.

“Fish Tank was my first experience to share my business in a public setting, allowing me the opportunity to receive insightful feedback on my ideas and grow as a young entrepreneur,” said our 2022 second prize winner, Thea (pictured top right).

So.. what’s different this year? This year we are excited to present a new award category: the Social Enterprise Award, aimed at honouring the young person who delivers a positive social or environmental impact through the power of their business.

Applications are open! If you know a young entrepreneur who lives, works, plays or studies in our city, now is the time to encourage them to apply!
