Join our Town Hall Talks in September as we host a free two-part seminar on Navigating AI: From Curiosity to Confidence.

We are now more than halfway through this year, and at this point you’re probably familiar with hearing words like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude AI, and Perplexity AI circulate in regular conversation. You've more than likely used one of these AI assistants yourself, but have you been using these tools to their greatest potential? If your answer is no, then our next series of Town Hall Talks is for you.

AI tools are transforming the way we live, learn and interact, and these tools are powerful programs with unique capabilities designed to assist us. The upcoming series of Town Hall Talks is curated to provide you with a deeper understanding of how you can implement AI tools to improve your daily life. Checkout an overview of the talks below. 

Navigating AI: From Curiosity to Confidence

Session 1: Discovering AI in Daily Life

Thursday 18 September from 5.30pm for a 5.45pm start until 7.15pm 

At our initial session, learn AI’s foundations, what it is and what it is not, and come away with set-up tips to get your AI systems working.

Session 2: Getting the Best from AI Tools

Thursday 25 September from 5.30pm for a 5.45pm start until 7.15pm

During this session, uncover the proper way to engage and speak to AI assistants, and explore practical ways that you can apply AI to your daily life.

Make sure to register for both sessions to experience the full program. 

The two free sessions are recommended to be attended in conjunction with each other. They will be led by David Viola and Ann Nelson from the Community Futures Network and Tutors of University of the Third Age. Presented on behalf of our Active Ageing program, the event is aimed at individuals 50yrs and older, however all ages are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided. This is a free event, and we expect this to be a very popular series. We encourage you to register now to reserve your spot.
