Booking and terms of use

Booking

Services are available from 9.15am to 3.45pm Monday to Friday and bookings are dependent on the availability of volunteers.

The cost per trip will be discussed with the Community Transport Coordinator and fees are collected by the volunteer on the day of service.

For more information about these services, phone (08) 8372 5405.

Availability

To ensure the program is fair to all eligible residents, transport services are allocated based on the priority of need and volunteer availability. All requests will be looked at on an individual basis and medical appointments take priority over social activities.

All transport requests must be arranged with the Community Transport Coordinator. It is necessary that as much prior notice as possible is given when requesting transport. Transport may not be available if less than three working days’ notice is given. Please note this is not an emergency service.

Terms of use

The Council has a duty of care and is responsible for the safety of all service users and volunteers. It is therefore necessary to contact the Community Transport Coordinator to advise of any additional requests or changes to the original booking. Requests for services must not be arranged directly with the volunteer driver.
