Community Plan Towards 2050

Our Community Plan Towards 2050 sets a vision for the City of Unley ‘to be a connected, progressive, and resilient city’. The Plan was developed through engagement with our community, elected members, staff, and key stakeholders. It sets out 4 key theme areas (Community, Economy, Environment, and Places and Spaces) with associated goals and objectives. We want to make sure our community is at the centre of everything we do, to create an environment where everyone thrives, and people, at all ages, enjoy an excellent quality of life.

Lead Strategies

In May 2026, Council adopted its key long-term plans that guide how we deliver services, invest resources, and respond to community needs. Aligned to the Community Plan Towards 2050 and the Strategic 4-Year Delivery Plan, these strategies provide a clear direction for priority areas such as sustainability, economic growth, transport, community wellbeing, open spaces, digital innovation, and asset management. Together, they help ensure Council's decisions, projects, and services contribute to a connected, progressive, and resilient city for current and future generations.

Strategic 4 Year Plans

Council adopted its Strategic 4-Year Delivery Plan in June 2025, which translates our Community Plan Towards 2050 aspirations into actions. It highlights our priorities, outlining key initiatives and measurable outcomes to ensure alignment with our long-term vision. As a transparent and accountable Council, we have set measures and targets to keep us focused on our goals and objectives and track our progress. This delivery plan enables us to deliver meaningful improvements for our community while adapting to evolving needs and challenges.
