The City of Unley is excited to share the proposed improvements to North Unley Park, located between Young Street and the Glen Osmond Creek. Guided by the park’s master plan, the concept design reflects our commitment to creating an inviting, accessible and multi-functional green space for all ages and abilities.

The concept design incorporates a range of upgrades to enhance recreation, play, comfort and safety within the park. Key features include:

  • New play spaces: A dynamic and inclusive play area featuring a basket swing, multi-play tower, see-saw and balance logs.

  • Nature play elements: Including a dry creek bed, water play, teepee structure, stepping stones and balancing logs.

  • Updated path network: Improved connectivity with circuit paths for walking, running and exploring the space.

  • Active recreation: Outdoor gym equipment, a new basketball area with a sound-reducing backboard, and open irrigated lawns for casual play.

  • Comfort and amenity: New accessible toilet facilities, bike parking, drinking fountain, curved limestone seating walls and street furniture.

  • Landscaping: Infill native and indigenous plantings, along with improved park lighting and a new irrigation system.

Existing gate and fencing adjacent to Glen Osmond Creek will be retained to ensure safety.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025, with further updates to be provided as the project progresses.
