Switch It Up: Unley Home Energy and EV Expo!  

Looking for ways to lower your energy bills and make your home more comfortable all year round.  

Switch It Up is a great opportunity to get free, practical advice on home energy improvements, going all-electric, solar, batteries, electric vehicles, understanding your electricity bills, and everyday ways to save energy. 

Through a program of talks, indoor stalls and an electric vehicle display, you’ll learn about: 

Whether you're looking for simple changes that can save money now or considering bigger home upgrades in the future, come along to Switch It Up. Have your questions answered, connect with others in the community and take the next steps with confidence.  

Drop in during the afternoon, or stay for the whole time.

 

Stalls & displays 

1pm - 4pm: Browse, chat and learn

Ask questions and get advice from a range of groups and organisations. Plus view different electric vehicles and chat to their owners.   

Talks

1.30pm - 2pm: Low-cost ways to reduce energy bills

Understand your electricity bills and learn about simple changes and low-cost actions to reduce energy use at your place (including renter-friendly ideas) with Alex from Adelaide Home Energy Assessors.

2.30pm - 3pm: How to go all-electric over time

Matt and Jean-Marc from Electrify Adelaide will break down the different parts of an all-electric home and help you understand the steps to get there (heating + cooling, hot water, induction cooking, solar, batteries and more)

3pm - 3.20pm: Electric vehicle basics

Learn more about electric vehicles with Des from the SA branch of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association. 

 

Explore community climate action ideas at the expo. 

The City of Unley is co-designing a Community Climate Action Plan with our community. Visit the display at the Expo to learn about the project, explore ideas and help shape the final plan.
