From Monday 30 June 2025, important upgrades to the Forestville Reserve Archways by the Department of Infrastructure and Transport will begin, resulting in some temporary access changes within Forestville Reserve.

As part of the project:

  • Five (5) car parks in the southern Ethel Street car park will be temporarily closed until March 2026.
  • The Public Transport South Australia commuter car park will also be closed until March 2026.
  • The tramline underpass near Brownhill Creek will be closed until August 2025.

These closures are necessary to support the ongoing works aimed at restoring and improving the heritage-listed archways and surrounding reserve area. For detailed information about the project and to view current pedestrian and cyclist detours, please visit the Torrens to Goodwood Project website: Forestville Reserve Archway Upgrades - Project Information

We thank you for your patience while these important works are carried out to improve access, safety, and heritage preservation in Forestville Reserve.
