The City of Unley will commence the King William Road Streetscape Upgrade from Monday 16 February, delivering a safer, greener and more connected experience for everyone who walks, cycles, drives or visits local businesses along this popular precinct.

The project will upgrade infrastructure between Greenhill Road and the bend alongside the Mike Turtur Bikeway, transforming the corridor into a more attractive and accessible community space.

Key improvements include an upgraded shared walking and cycling path, enhanced bike lanes, new pedestrian refuges, renewed kerb and road surfaces, and new landscaping with 42 additional trees.

The road will remain open for drivers with lane restrictions. Detours for pedestrians and cyclist will be in place while works are underway. Works will be staged to minimise impacts wherever possible, and nearby businesses and residents will be notified of any short-term access changes.

Construction is scheduled for completion in July 2026.
