Apply for a Resident Parking Permit

Residents of Unley may be eligible for a resident parking permit.

There are two types of resident parking permits available:

  • Time Limit Exemption Parking Permits – allows you to park your vehicle and overstay the time limit in a time restricted parking area in the street that the permit applies
  • Resident Only Parking Permits – allows you to park your vehicle in a resident only permit zone or overstay the time limit zone in the street that the permit applies

The type of parking permit you will be issued is determined by the parking controls on your street, in front or opposite your property.

Resident Only Parking Permit zones are available only to properties that have no off-street parking.

A parking permit does not guarantee you a space to park your vehicle in the street for which the permit is issued.

How to apply

To apply for a resident parking permit, you must:

How permits are assessed

Resident parking permit applications are assessed on:

  • the parking controls in the street in front or opposite your property
  • the number of parking spaces on the property
  • the number of vehicles garaged at the property

A complete assessment of the property will be undertaken to confirm the parking capacity and vehicle/s to be garaged.
