Age-friendly cities foster healthy and active ageing, enabling older people to age safely in place, to retain their autonomy and to continue to contribute to their community.

Did you the World Health Organisation Network for Age-Friendly Cities and Communities comprises 1445 locations in 51 countries? Unley is one of those places and we're asking our residents to participate in a survey.

UniSA researchers are working with Council to inform our goals about active ageing. Results for the survey will be compared to the age-friendliness of over 20 other cities around the globe.

Please complete the questionnaire and share your experience. It will provide information about our city and help us understand how we can improve our social environment and the services we offer.

If you’ve over 60 years of age, living in Unley and would like to be involved, complete the online survey at unley.sa.gov.au/age-friendly-survey.

You can use the QR Code below to access it or, if you prefer, printed versions are available in our libraries and community centres, with reply-paid envelopes provided.

Your responses are anonymous, and participation is voluntary. Submissions are open until Friday 18 July 2025.

If you have any questions about the survey, get in touch with UniSA lead researcher Dr Helen Barrie via email at helen.barrie@unisa.edu.au
