The business spaces, managed by Little City Coworking, were occupied throughout the rebuilding of three of the cottages, and now house over thirty individual businesses operating from the site.

Emceed by City of Unley CEO Peter Tsokas, speakers at the event included the Hon. Justin Hanson MLC, Member for Unley the Hon. David Pisoni, Mayor Michael Hewitson AM and Shaun Lyon from Little City Coworking.

The project was realised after extensive consultation with the local business community, nearby residents and interested stakeholders, who were keen to realise a new facility with contemporary amenities to support both emerging and established businesses in Unley.

The working group championed greater activation of the entire precinct, and worked with Unley’s Elected Members and Council staff to arrive at a design for contemporary extensions to the three cottages, and which would interface with the Village Green and enhance its appeal and public use.

This project was made possible with funding from the State Government’s Local Government Infrastructure Partnership Program, in which Council was successful in attracting a grant of $900,000 in 2021. This sum was matched by Council, which saw us commit a total budget of $1.8 million for this significant project’s redesign and construction.

The redevelopment offers a modern, aesthetically pleasing, and accessible working environment that has addressed the need for quality coworking space, and which supports and encourages business expansion in the heart of Unley.
