To ensure the program is fair to all eligible residents, transport services are allocated based on the priority of need and volunteer availability.

All transport requests must be arranged with the Community Transport Coordinator. It is necessary that as much prior notice as possible is given when requesting transport. Transport may not be available if less than three working days’ notice is given. Please note this is not an emergency service.

Terms of use

The Council has a duty of care and is responsible for the safety of all service users and volunteers. It is therefore necessary to contact the Community Transport Coordinator to advise of any additional requests or changes to the original booking. Requests for services must not be arranged directly with the volunteer driver.

We will endeavour to provide two way transport whenever possible; however in the situation of transport to hospital / specialist appointments and appointments outside of the Unley City area then transport services will be one way only.
