Unley Art Prize's popular choice

The City of Unley's Elected Members have voted, as have the public in the People's Choice Award, with the winner of both categories selecting Marisha Matthews' stunning work 'Moreton Bay Fig, Sunlight' capturing the hearts of art lovers.

The awards are part of the biennial All Connections to Unley Art Prize, the major category which was recently won by Anastasia Benveniste for her captivating piece 'You Are Here. Unley'.

27 artists were shortlisted by the judges for the competition, and their works, which encompassed a range of media from sculpture, drawing, photography, glass and painting, were exhibited throughout June in the Hughes Gallery in Fullarton Park.

Congratulations to Marisha Matthews for her beautiful piece, a clear favourite with visitors to the exhibition, and to all the artists who submitted work to the All Connections to Unley Art Prize.
