Every eight years, councils are required to undertake a review of their councillor composition and ward structure to determine whether the local community would benefit from a change to the current composition.

In November last year, we asked for our community’s feedback on the Representation Review Options Paper. From this consultation, Council determined its preferred option for composition and structure.

We are now seeking the community’s input on that option:

• Retaining a Mayor, elected by the community, as the principal member; and

• Introducing a new ward structure comprising of five wards, with each ward represented by two councillors. A total of 10 councillors.

We want to know if our community supports this proposal and also hear suggestions for new ward names. Please visit Your Say Unley to complete the survey and provide your feedback.

Your feedback will be presented to Council for their consideration at a future Council meeting.

The survey is open until 5pm Friday 30 April.
