Come & Try Calligraphy - Foundational Lower Case Letters

The Foundational style of letters is the lower-case alphabet that can be used with Roman Capitals. It is referred to as a “Round Hand” style as the letters are based on a circle. We will examine the shapes and proportions of letters of the alphabet by looking at groups of letters with similar shapes. We will practice drawing and writing these letters to develop an alphabet that can be used on greeting cards, bookmarks, place cards – and any other use where letters form part of your artwork. We will use parallel lens to continue our exploration of the broad edge nib.
