Although heavy rain is forecast, the Bureau has now revised total rainfall amounts down to 25mm on Saturday and 15mm on Sunday.

Council hopes that no City of Unley residents experience the kind of flooding seen recently, but please be prepared if your property is in the vicinity of a creek or waterway.

Police, SES and other emergency services will be first responders to any issues, but the City of Unley has extra staff on call over the weekend to assist local residents if help is needed.

Council has arranged for:

  • All Side Entry Pits (SEPs) located in known flooding ‘hot spots’ to be inspected and cleared as required.
  • Pallets of sandbags to be delivered to known flooding ‘hot spots’ so residents in these locations can prepare their properties.

There are sandbags filled and available at Council’s Depot (75 King William Road) for anyone who wishes to collect them.

Residents can also call Council on 8372 5111 if they need delivery of sandbags.
