Unley Oval upgrade work starting soon

The first stage is a lighting upgrade starting 3 October, followed by significant work to the oval’s playing surface, which will be totally removed before irrigation systems, new turf and four cricket pitches are replaced.

Council has secured grant funding from the Office of Recreation, Sport and Racing to support this work, which will ensure Unley Oval is fit for purpose for various sporting groups, and our community who love the facility and use it for recreation. 

For safety reasons, no access to the Oval will be permitted during the works, but adjacent areas around the perimeter will be open, as will playgrounds and toilets.

Council apologises for the inconvenience to our residents, the community and sporting clubs while these works take place.
